IT Business Intelligence Analyst (Finance) chez Calderys

Role:

As a BI Analyst, you will directly contribute to Calderys’ success by providing advanced analytics and insights

Working closely with the Finance and FP&A teams, you will deliver actionable intelligence to optimize financial planning, reporting, and decision-making processes. This role requires a strong understanding of financial operations and prior experience collaborating with finance teams

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Finance and FP&A teams to develop analytics solutions that align with financial planning and reporting needs.
  • Support data-driven use cases (SQL, predictive, AI, ML) by ensuring that financial and operational data sources are effectively utilized
  • Identify critical financial data needs and provide robust insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain reliable analytics tools tailored for financial decision-making.
  • Perform detailed statistical and financial analyses, translating data into actionable insights and visualizations for stakeholders.
  • Develop user-friendly dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) focused on financial KPIs.
  • Apply technical expertise to ensure data quality and integrity, particularly for financial and operational data sets.
  • Design and implement end-to-end processes for performance measurement and financial analytics delivery.
  • Communicate analytic findings to finance executives and other stakeholders in a concise, meaningful manner.
  • Ensure adoption of BI solutions globally
  • Continuously refine analytics solutions to improve effectiveness for finance and other cross-functional departments

Requirements:

Experience

  • 3-6 years in BI & Data Analytics, with proven expertise in supporting Finance and FP&A teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to create advanced financial models and conduct analytics.
  • Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, R, or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik).
  • Experience with data warehousing tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
  • Understanding of relational databases and data extraction methods, particularly for financial datasets.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication and storytelling capabilities to convey complex findings.
  • Ability to synthesize and present insights to finance executives effectively.
  • Fluent in English

Education:

  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field

Desirable:

  • Experience of working within a culturally diverse global company
  • Conversant in French or another European language would be advantageous.
  • Experience with Databricks is a plus
