In that perspective, we are reinforcing our international team and are looking for an International Cost & Financial Modeller to be based in Transdev Head Office in Paris.
As an International Cost & Financial Modeller you will join the International Zone and work closely with Asia Middle East & Africa team on a wide range of Mobility development projects in the region: Commuter Rail, Metro, Tramways, Bus Rapid Transit Systems and buses, etc.
Associated to multiple projects in the region and International Zone, with the support of Group support teams from all over the world & local partners, you will play a key role in the conduct and orientations given to the projects.
Transdev is hiring an International Cost & Financial Modeller
Missions
You will be responsible for developing, managing, adapting and evolving the model(s) necessary to formulate and validate competitive commercial offers for international transport system operation and/or maintenance projects.
Within the teams in charge of the production of the offers and in collaboration with the support services (technical, finance, tax, etc.) and the International Costing & Financial Lead, you will integrate the different components of the projects to achieve the implementation of complete models, easily scalable and allowing the production of prices taking into account all the assumptions (technical, finance, tax, risk, working capital, profitability, inflation, cash flows, etc.). You will maintain the list of business ratios / assumptions necessary for the production and comparison of offers over time.
Development of the models (cost, financial, validation and customer output) for the submission of offers.
– Costing model (operating costs, energy, maintenance, overhead, financing requirements, contingencies related to risk profile, taxes, etc.)
– Financial model for internal evaluation and definition of customer price level (financial statements, profitability)
– Internal validation model for decision-making committees

– Assumption book & alignment with costing & financial models
Effective support to the teams involved in the bid to provide the required reports and respond in writing to any requests for clarification (internal and external).
Support the team in refining the payment mechanisms and associated risks.
Cooperate with both internal business teams (technical / performance / human resources / finance / legal / marketing …) and local operational teams in the countries.
Contributing to the preparation of required documents for internal & external committees
Required Education and Experience
Master’s degree (BAC+5) specialized in related field (ideally Engineer with specialization or experience in finance).
Relevant working experience in a similar position (long term internship, VIE, etc).
Experience in cost and financial modeling, ideally in rail (light rail, metro, heavy rail) and in the transportation field (Bus, BRT, etc.).
Permanent position located in Headquarter – Paris
Skills
Expertise in Costing & Financial modeling
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team
Interest in public transport & infrastructure
Understanding of bid production practices, financial/commercial models (Operation & Maintenance, Concession, Brownfield/Greenfield PPP) and intra-group flows between a parent company and its subsidiaries.
Excellent skills in Excel (macro, variable, sensitivity analysis, etc.) & Competency in Data treatment and processing (through advanced functions of Excel, VBA, R, Python)
Resilient, with strong work capacity and proven ability to adapt, must be a “results driven” individual. Open to new cultures
Fluent in written and spoken English.
A good level in another language would be a plus (Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, etc.)
