So far, this journey has led us to become a certified B Corp.POSITION PURPOSE The Architectural Copywriter will lead on key press release throughout the year, developing architecture and design narrative concepts that resonate with our customers around the world. The Architectural Copywriter works in collaboration with In-House Architects, external architects to create copy that works in harmony with our visual approach and balances creativity with commerciality—while retaining Aesop’s spirit and points of difference.The role will be based in ParisMain ResponsabilitiesKey responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to: Work alongside the Global Director of Retail Design, Global Head of Retail Design Innovation, Global Senior Copy Manager, Copy Editor, to drive exceptional conceptual thinking and execution for architectural press release, content and other projects in line with the brand voice and guidelines.Develop impeccable product and editorial content, ensuring it meets KPI’s (drives difference, traffic or conversion), demonstrating a high level of skill for scriptwriting and storyboarding to communicate ideas and drive successful outcomes.Ensure all work is grammatically correct, in line with the Aesop Tone of Voice, proofread and error free.Ensure all work is filed and easily accessible as archives when required whilst continuing to develop templates and guidelines and specification documents – to drive efficiencies and assist with decentralization to the regions.Writing, reviewing and editing media and interview responses on Store related questions for Aesop spokespeople. Collaborating with the Global Retain Design Director and any relevant in-house designer on PR Q&A responses to store-related queriesSpecific Store Design related editing and writing tasks on a project-by-project basis
Who We Are Looking For – An undergraduate degree in a relevant literary field, with at least a major in creative writing, literary/cultural studies, journalism or copywriting A degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture, either completed or being undertaken. 5+ years’ experience in architectural copywriting Excellent writing skills, particularly in architectural communications and short-form prose. The ability to work to an architectural brief, with architects and brand stakeholderFluency in English
