As part of the Operations Division, you will join the Community team. As our Event Manager for the French market, your mission is to execute and oversee event initiatives to acquire and engage our freelancer community.You will play a key role in offering a good freelancer experience while meeting our business objectives through high-impact virtual and physical events. You will work closely with many stakeholders: internal teams (Sales, Marketing, Community) and external (freelancers). You’ll be responsible for event ROI and freelancer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
– Lead the end-to-end execution of Malt-run French community events, on both virtual and in-person formats.
– Coordinate participation in strategic local industry tradeshows and identify key speaking opportunities.
– Deploy the Malt Linker program locally to empower community members to host regional events.
– Manage event budgets, logistics, and vendor relationships.
– Analyze event performance and ROI to ensure alignment with business goals.
– Look at the larger picture: efficiency, scalability, business goals, freelancer experience.
About you
– At least 2 years of experience in events, project management, marketing / communication or field marketing.
– Strong organizational skills, time management and attention to details.
– Excellent interpersonal communications skills (written and verbal).
– Analytical skills.
– Mastery of project management & CRM tools.
– You speak French on a native level and English fluently.
How to join the mission?
– First call with Claudia, our Talent Acquisition Manager, to better understand your background, aspirations and answer any questions you may have. (30-45 minutes)
– Interview with your future manager, (Global event lead) to dive into your experience and the specifics of the role. (45-60 minutes)
– Home assignment for you to complete, which will be evaluated by (Head of Global Community) in order to assess your technical skills
– Final interview with a C-level executive to discuss Malt’s long-term vision
