Your working environment

Permanent contract (CDI) in the historic Citroën garage in Lyon 7 or in Paris 2.

Ideal location (tramway at the bottom of the building, metro nearby, 2 steps from Place Bellecour).

Teleworking policy: 2 to 3 days.

In this hypergrowth journey, we are looking for a junior Pricing Actuary/Data Scientist to join our passionate Actuarial/Pricing team that is revolutionizing pet insurance! You will play a key role in refining our pricing strategies leveraging advanced actuarial approaches, data science and artificial intelligence. Your expertise will contribute to the development of advanced models that will enhance our understanding of customers and optimize our portfolio.

We are at the forefront of pet health insurance, utilising advanced actuarial approaches and data science to optimize our pricing models. As an innovative broker, we have the flexibility and agility of a startup, while having the impact of a market leader. We implement sophisticated models, not only for pricing but also for portfolio, customer behavior analysis and claims understanding.

Your responsibilities

After an onboarding period, you will develop advanced pricing models using data science and AI techniques, considering business dynamics and market competitiveness.

As part of the Pricing & Actuarial team, your main responsibilities will be:

Contribute to the design and refinement of pricing and demand models, combining actuarial techniques and machine learning approaches.

Develop analytical models to assess price elasticity, churn and customer segmentation.

Monitor portfolio performance and support pricing adjustments based on customer behavior and market dynamics.

Collaborate with business and tech teams to ensure pricing models are aligned with company objectives.

Participate in discussions with insurer partners to support data-driven pricing decisions.

Ensure proper model validation, documentation and continuous improvement.

Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Stay curious and contribute new ideas by exploring innovative data sources and methodologies.

Your profile

To successfully accomplish these tasks:

Master’s degree in Data Science, Actuarial Science or a related quantitative field

0 to 4 years of professional experience

Previous experience in the insurance industry is a plus, ideally in P&C personal lines

Interest in Data Science, Machine Learning and AI

Proficiency in R or Python and SQL for data analysis and modeling

Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Data Visualization Tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar

Knowledge of actuarial pricing tools (Radar, Quantee, Akur8 or similar) is a strong plus

Exposure to emerging AI technologies (LLMs, AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code or similar) is a plus

Analytical mindset, structured thinking and eagerness to learn

Good communication skills and ability to work in a cross-functional and international environment Fluent in French and English (B2 minimum)
